DC-Hub ist eine professionelle Plattform, die einen Business- und Innovations-Austausch zwischen Deutschland und China auf Arbeitsebene ermöglicht.
Die Organisatoren laden zum Deutschland-China Start-up Forum am Donnerstag, 24. Januar 2019 im Basislager Coworking und der LVZ Kuppelhalle ein. Ab 10 Uhr gibt es verschiedene Workshops zu chinaspezifischen Themen. Ab 17 Uhr stellt das DC-Hub Team dem interessierten Publikum das Konzept des Projektes vor, geladene Speaker aus China geben Input für internationalisierungsinteressierte Unternehmer und die Alumni der Shanghai Start-up Class 2018 teilen in einer Podiumsdiskussion ihre Erfahrungen in China. DC-Hub supports German Start-ups and SMEs to build up a China competency. The program will pay for the 2019 class´s winners return flights, co-working seats in Shanghai, access to the DC-Hub network, events, and workshops. The class will take place from end of April to end of May 2019.
The submission for the 2019 class is now open to Start-ups and SMEs from Germany. All applicants will undergo a first round of selecting the finalists for the pitching competition on January 25th, 2019 in Leipzig. We will inform the finalists after sighting the applications.
Visiting China as a start-up? Six young companies accepted the challenge this autumn and participated in the Shanghai Start-up Class 2018 (SSUC18) which was organised by the Leipzig-based accelerator programme DC-Hub.
“We were thrilled that so many great start-ups were interested in our programme and applied to participate and the selection process was very difficult for our jury”, stated DC-Hub project leader Steve Uhlig, “being able to support such a diverse group of start-ups from all over Germany, each with their own goals and aspirations, is an important aspect of our programme.”
All participants of the SSUC18 agree that they learned a lot for themselves personally and the companies: “Matching the rapid pulse of the city of Shanghai in China, DC-Hub planned a packed schedule.”
After exciting pitches of the Shanghai Start-up Class 2018 finalists at the Basislager Coworking Leipzig with a live circuit to Shanghai, our international jury selected six teams who now have the chance to test out their business ideas on the Chinese market. The business ideas presented by the best teams ranged from innovative medical devices, through practical solutions for the automotive industry, to smart applications for process optimization for the manufacturing industry. The 6 winners of the pitch competition (1-2 people per company) will fly beginning of September, 2018 with DC-Hub for 4 weeks to Shanghai. (The return date to Germany can be planned individually according to your schedules, minimum stay in Shanghai is 2 weeks.)
DC-HUB kicks off & opens for submission: “Accelerate” German Start-ups to China
On March 28, 2018 we reached the first major mile stone of the DC-Hub project: The DC-Hub Kick-Off Event in Leipzig, Germany. With 5 speakers and over 60 participants we are very happy about the reception. DC-Hub is a professional platform that enables a business and innovation exchange between Germany and China at work level. The organizers invite to the official kick-off event on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in the Basislager Coworking. Starting at 7 pm, the participants present the concept to the audience, successful German-Chinese entrepreneurs present their stories. Afterwards, all participants are invited to get together and networking at a traditional tea ceremony.
German startups and companies who are interested in China as a possible sales market or potential manufacturing facility for their products can participate in the national tender. The selected teams will receive an extensive workshop program in their home country. After intensive preparation, the participants fly to exciting Chinese start-up cities, for example to Shanghai, Beijing or Shenzhen. On site, they get support by DC-Hub team and cooperation partners, receive a desk in coworking spaces, get integrated in events of the startup community and get to know investors, government representatives and potential cooperation partners.

DC-Hub will Brücken bauen und Vorurteile abbauen – eine Schnellstraße für Start-ups aus China und Deutschland. Der Grundstein für die Umsetzung wurde im vergangenen Dezember 2017 gelegt: Die deutsche Delegation um Projektleiter Steve Uhlig und Yi Zhang (Uni Leipzig), begleitet von Marco Weicholdt vom Basislager Coworking Leipzig und Martin Gothe vom deutsch-chinesischen Unternehmen J.A.M. Universal organisierten das erste Netzwerktreffen deutscher und chinesischer Partner in Shanghai.
